Dr. Schmitt received his D.D.S. from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry and a Certificate in Prosthodontics with a M.S. degree from the University of Texas. He maintains a Private practice limited to prosthodontics in San Antonio, Texas. His background as a Board Certified Prosthodontist, researcher, and former Graduate Program Director in Prosthodontics provide a basis for excellence in patient care and treatment.

Dr. Schmitt is a fellow of the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists and the American College of Prosthodontists. He is a former Consultant to the Air Force Surgeon General in Prosthodontics.
